Design Consultation
I approach each project as a collaboration and structure my working relationships to meet your particular needs. An initial design consultation is a first step in this process and provides an opportunity to discuss your vision for your project, style, budget and timeline as well as the parameters of the existing space. Going forward, we may partner across a larger design project or this may be a singular consultation for my professional guidance only. Feel free to call me for rates.
Color, Furnishings, Styling
This can be as much or as little of a project as you wish and/or may be continuation of a space planning project already underway. We may re-style the objects in your space and add a touch of color on the walls or in some pillows. It can also be more of an involved process that requires furniture plans and/or the selection of tile, lighting, color, furnishings and finishes for an upcoming project. My goal is to help you create a space which feels grounding and uniquely yours.
Space Planning
At the foundation for any well-designed space is a thoughtful, well-crafted plan. I will lead you through this process providing you with multiple solutions. I use a 3d modeling program which is a useful tool for spatial visualization and aids in the decision making process. Bringing your contractor/builder into the conversation early is key in this initial design phase and if a builder is missing in the picture, I can help you find one. Once a plan has been defined, I would be happy to assist further with selections for flooring, tile, lighting, furniture and color should you so choose.
3D Modeling and Drawings
The two perspectives at left are created using a 3D modeling program called Sketch Up which is helpful with the visualization of space. I use a few other digital programs for kitchen design and for the production of construction documents. And when called for I just draw by hand.
