I approach each project as a collaboration and structure my working relationships to meet your particular needs. For some, we may partner across aspects of a larger design project from design development and spatial planning through finish specifications, furniture selections, color and more. For others it may be a focus on one room or a singular consultation for my professional guidance. Feel free to call me for a conversation on how we might begin to work together.
I have been working in the field for over 25 years starting off my career in New York City working for a few larger architectural firms. As the industry started to lean more digital, I sought the opposite, wanting a more hands-on tactile experience and started to paint. This led me to pursue an MFA in Painting and a 10-year immersion in the art world making and showing my work. I eventually returned to design, focusing on the design of interior spaces; merging my love for color, pattern and texture within architectural form.
In 2023 I launched Lisa Lindgren Design. I spent eight years prior working for Chapdelaine Builders in East Longmeadow on the design of kitchens, baths, renovations and new construction. This experience helped to ground my design skills within current building practices through my partnerships with project managers and working relationships with framers, electricians and plumbers. Wanting further knowledge of building codes and practices, I passed the MA Construction Supervisors License exam in 2022.
In my free time, I like to be out hiking, biking or skiing in the woods and hills of New England or in my backyard working on my wildflower bed.
